A NEWLY formed Bedfont residents' association is holding a fun day to celebrate its grand opening.

The Orchard Residents Bedfont Association (ORBA) is chaired by Jin Jhooti who said the main purpose of the event is for the local community to get to know each other and to promote health and well being regardless of age, as well as to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

There will be a variety of activities, including sack races, egg and spoon races, fair rides, football and rounders. Police will also be security marking bikes and providing safety alarms.

A bar, food stalls, bouncy castle and live band will be part of the free fun, in association with Bedfont Sports Club at Bedfont Recreation Ground, Hatton Road, this Sunday (18) from 1pm until 4pm.
