POLICE are hunting three men in connection with the arson attack that destroyed Ealing Green Local supermarket during the riots on August 8.

The blaze forced the occupants of four flats above the store to flee for their lives, while the adjacent Green Mango Cafe and Oxfam Music and Audio were badly damaged by water.

The supermarket, flats and cafe are still uninhabitable nearly one year on.

One of the suspects is white and wore a hooded top with the letters GSRD across the front.

Another is black and wore a black jacket with a grey hooded top underneath while the third is white and wore a grey tracksuit and carried a large black shoulder bag.

Detective Sergeant Ewan Robertson, leading the investigation, said: “This mindless act has ruined people’s livelihoods and homes, but it could easily have resulted in the loss of their lives. I would ask anyone who recognises the men in these CCTV images to speak to police.”

Anyone with information can call police on 020 8785 8580 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
