DID two thugs follow a man from the pub, beat him up badly – then take him to hospital?

That is one theory police are working on as they make a fresh appeal in the case of a 21-year-old man seriously assaulted in Yiewsley last month.

On Saturday, April 14 at about 11.30pm, police were called to Hillingdon Hospital in Pield Heath Road, Hillingdon, after a man said he had been attacked in the street.

But police say the two assailants may have taken the victim to hospital in their car after the incident.

He said he had been beaten by two men who had followed him after he left The Brickmaker's Arms in Horton Bridge Road, taking punches and kicks to the face and head. During the attack the victim suffered a fractured jaw.

Both attackers are described as white and aged around 20.

Detective Constable Kev Rose, the officer investigating the case, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen what happened on this evening.

"There is likely to have been people around at the time the assault took place. Police would particularly like to speak to the two people who helped the victim to hospital."

"The motive around this attack is unclear and I am urging anyone who has further information that could help us with the investigation to contact us.”
