Restaurant chain Frankie & Benny's has told getwestlondon that it is planning to open in Uxbridge.

The American-Italian 50s style restaurant looks set to open in the town centre in early 2015, but the chain admitted it does not have an opening date yet and could not confirm where it would move in.

Earlier this year, a Five Guys burger bar replaced Baroosh in High Street when it closed in January and a  Costa coffee shop has now opened in Yiewsley .

Hundreds of readers reacted to the rumour that Primark would be opening up in the Pavilions shopping centre in Uxbridge, after a planning application by its owner was submitted to Hillingdon Council .
