NEIGHBOURS called police after hearing a gun shot which killed a man in a quiet Fulham street.
Detectives rushed to the scene in Winchendon Road last week and discovered the body of a 55-year-old man inside his house.
Enquiries are ongoing but police say the death is not suspicious and it is thought the man died as a result of suicide or a tragic accident.
Officers found an arsenal of four guns and ammunition during a search of the property. All the weapons were licenced to the man killed.
Speaking after the incident, which happened on Monday, April 15, at about 5.30pm, chief inspector Rod Charles, said: "This is a very serious incident with a tragic outcome. However it is confined to a single residential address.
"At this time there is no evidence indicating third party involvement or crime. There is no known risk to neighbours or the wider community."
The Coroner has been informed and an inquest will be held in due course.
