FOUR men were convicted of the manslaughter of a man from Wembley on the south coast. 

Reece James, 21, was shot in Bournemouth last year and four men were found guilty today (June 6) at Winchester Crown Court. 

Kieron Kenroy Wellington, 30, of no fixed abode, and three man from London, Wayne Stephenson, 34, Keifer Hutchinson, 23, and Jarome Parkinson, 25, were convicted of manslaughter after denying a murder charge. 

The shooting took place on Wednesday July 25 last year at the junction of Roumelia Lane and Sea Road in Boscombe. 

The four men were arrested in August and September last year after a police investigation which stretched across the south of England.  

Detective Superintendent Pam Trevillion, said: “This verdict comes at the end of a complex investigation by Dorset Police working together with our colleagues at the Metropolitan Police and Kent Police as well as the Crown Prosecution Service. My thoughts are with Reece’s family at this difficult time and I hope that today’s verdict provides them with some closure."

A further defendant, a 23-year-old Bournemouth woman, was arrested and charged in September 2012. 
She was found not guilty by the jury on advice of the judge on Thursday 9 May 2013.

The men will be sentenced on Friday June 7.
