THE drums were rolling as customers took a peek at the Premier League trophy cup at the refurbished Barclays bank in Ealing Broadway.

Ealing North MP and football fan Steve Pound joined thousands of shoppers who attended the re-launch. A band of drummers and dancers entertained guests who took the chance to have a snap next to the Barclays football trophy which was on display all day.

The branch has been expanded and re-styled and officially opened on Friday last week.

Branch manager Mike Strachan said: "It was a great day and thousands of people came along to enjoy the carnival atmosphere and look around the new branch. These premises allow us to deliver the great service our customers deserve and the investment in the branch confirms our commitment to Ealing."

Mr Pound added: "Not all banks have the best of reputations but Barclays has proved that there is a place for responsible and financially successful banking."
