I HAVE heard from people living near the car park behind the High Street in Hounslow that it used to be cleaned every day, now it is lucky if it gets cleaned once a week. It is very dirty.

Also in Hounslow, the alleyways around Inwood Park and James Street, InwoodAvenue and the end of Stanley Road are covered in foliage. It is dangerous, particularly for elderly and disabled people.

We pay our council tax towards both these things, so why are they being left in such a state?

Also, I read about how cruel some people in Hounslow are to pigeons, shooting them (Chronicle, July 31). This is very sad.

Ken Livingstone didn't help, calling them rats with wings.

I remember feeding them as a child. Pigeons have a right to life, the same as every bird or creature.
