Flowers have been laid near to the spot where a motorcyclist died after a collision in Ickenham on Monday (August 11).

A Chelsea flag tied to a tree and a handful of messages have been left by those wanting to pay tribute to the man  - who is yet to be formally identified.

Police expect a post mortem to take place in the next couple of days, but the man's next of kin have been informed.

Officers were called by London Ambulance Service at 5.48pm on Monday to reports of a collision between a motorcyclist and three cars on Long Lane.  

Police, London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade attended to find the motorcyclist with head injuries.  

The 54-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.  

Early reports suggest the motorcycle hit the back of a Honda HRV before hitting oncoming traffic.  

No-one else was injured in the collision.
