The Environment Agency has removed its flood warning on the River Colne at Willowbank and Uxbridge Moor.

The river is still out of banks in places and a flood alert is still in force for the Lower River Colne and Fray's River in West Drayton.

Flood Warnings were issued yesterday (Monday) in both sections of the river and the River Pinn was under a flood alert on Friday, but it was later removed.

In Harefield, villagers say they have not seen the water from the Grand Union Canal or River Colne rise so high for more than 40 years .

The Environment Agency has said: "Flood water will take time to drain from low lying land and roads as the ground remains saturated.

"There is the potential for further showers through this evening and into the early hours of Wednesday morning.

"Widespread rain is expected during Wednesday. River levels continue to be sensitive to any further rainfall and so levels could start to rise once more in response to this forecast rainfall."
