Parade organisers this week put out an urgent appeal across Feltham and Bedfont for residents with vehicles to deck them out and head down to this year's carnival.

"We desperately need more floats," said Marie Rogers, vice-chair of the carnival committee. "People always leave it a bit last minute but we've only got 10 at the moment and we'd hoped to have at least 25 by now."

Marie, from Bedfont, and her team insist everything is welcome in the parade, from tiny push bikes up to trucks.

The community event will stretch over the weekend of June 7 and 8, with the parade led by the carnival court setting off from Ludlow Park at 12.30pm, on Saturday, and making its way up the High Street.

As well as the parade this year's Telly Addicts themed carnival will feature a baby show, dog show, and horse show as well as a fairground raffle and stalls.

The Chronicle will also be on hand to capture the festivities on film and revellers will be able to see snaps of themselves enjoying the day at our website www.hounslow chronicle.co.uk
