LOCAL renowned flautist Keithe Waithe will be capturing the life and music of Billie Holiday at one of London’s top music venues.
Keithe, from Hanwell, will take part in Strange Fruit, a dramatic musical performance written by Helen MacDonald which uses music and the spoken word.
Combining theatre and film and backed by his Macusi players, the show highlights Holiday’s tumultuous life and career, which took her from poverty to the New York jazz scene.
