Five arrested over insurance fraud

Five people have been arrested in Harrow following a police investigation into car insurance fraud.

Five people have been arrested in Harrow following a police investigation into car insurance fraud.

In total 24 people were arrested in London at houses in Ealing, Hounslow, Hillingdon, Harrow, Bromley and Croydon as part of Operation Saisir.

Officers believe suspects being lured into participating in insurance fraud with the promise of money by a wider criminal network. They are often unaware they are committing crimes as they help to carry out Cash for Crash scams by staging motor accidents and making false insurance claims.
