Hollywood star Colin Firth and family have unveiled their plans to turn Chiswick into an "eco-village".

Colin, wife Livia, her brother Nicola and financier Ivo Coulson recently launched their new shop and consultancy, Eco, in Chiswick High Road, and are tonight bringing the community together for a 'green night.'

The event held in St Michael & All Angels Parish Hall at 8pm will host stalls, refreshments, prizes, practical advice and lively debate.

Traders and Community groups in Chiswick will also be attending the night in order to discuss plans to turn Chiswick into an eco-village and how to encourage householders to cut their carbon footprint and soaring energy bills.

"Green Night" forms part of the 42nd Bedford Park Festival, an arts and community event based in the world's first garden suburb, which raises money for local charities and the Church. Those attending will be invited to make a £5 donation to the Festival charities.
