Flames damaged part of a terraced house in West Ealing yesterday evening.

The London Fire Brigade (LFB) were called to a fire at an address in Midhurst Road at 7.30pm.

The upstairs of a mid-terraced house of two floors was alight; about a quarter of the first floor and five per cent of the ground floor was damaged by the blaze.

LFB sent an engine from Ealing and another from Southall and the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and police were on the scene.

The fire was under control at 9.15pm and LAS said there were no patients as a result of the incident.

There are rumours the fire was caused by a suspected cannabis factory which went up in smoke but LFB say the cause is still under investigation by themselves and the police.
