Brent Council's adoption team is hosting an information evening for would-be adoptive parents on August 6.
The informal event, which is open to all, will feature a video about adoption and a presentation about the children in Brent that are currently waiting to be adopted.
There will also be a question and answer session and opportunities for people to hear about foster parents' first-hand experiences.
Satwinder Sandhu, adoption team manager says; "If you're interested in adopting a child it's a really good idea to come along.
"The evening is a rare chance to talk about adoption in a real-ly informal setting and to find out if adoption is for you."
The adoption information evening starts at 6.30pm at Vale Farm Sports Centre, in Watford Road, Wembley.
