YOU published a letter of mine on May 22 on the disgusting habit of spitting on the street by some of the residents of this borough.

I pointed out that this borough has four times the national average of TB cases. There is no check on anyone entering this country for any disease at all. Need I say more.

There used to be a sign in London around 1910 reminding everyone not to spit, to prevent TB. Here we are in Hounslow almost 100 years later trying to cope with high rates of TB, which we thought had been brought under control 30 to 40 years ago.
