A FOURTH man has appeared in court accused of killing Ferell Benjamin, who was allegedly kidnapped and beaten to death and whose body turned up in Kilburn.

Ahmed Bilali, an unemployed 21-year-old of no fixed address, appeared before magistrates on yesterday charged with murder, assisting an offender and supplying crack cocaine.

Mr Benjamin was staying with his girlfriend Carlene Wellington in Overbrook Walk, Edgware, at 4pm on Sunday November 14 last year when he disappeared.

His body was discovered the following day at a property in Burton Road, Kilburn, and the post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as severe head trauma.

Detectives said at the time the distinctive pendant and fake Cartier watch worn by Mr Benjamin - a 38-year-old from Colindale, north-west London - were missing.

Bilali was remanded in custody by Wellingborough Magistrates' Court in Northamptonshire to appear at the Old Bailey on a date to be set, becoming the fourth defendant to be charged in connection with Mr Benjamin's death.

Samuel Prime-Fearon, an unemployed 24-year-old, of Pound Lane, Willesden, is charged with murder, assisting an offender and possession of cannabis with intent to supply,

Craig Smith, 22, of Rutland Road, Harrow, and Tasheika Campbell, 21, of Roxeth Green Avenue, South Harrow, face charges of murder, kidnap, burglary with intent and blackmail.

All three defendants are in custody and are due back before the Old Bailey on October 27 to enter pleas.
