A HEATHROW worker from Feltham is to disco dance on TV this New Year in the hopes of winning £250,000.

Noel Velasco, 50, who works as a Heathrow Airport housekeeper, has never had a dance lesson in his life, but is hoping his slick disco moves will be a hit with the judges on Sky1 HD's Got to Dance.

The programme, now back for its third series, is scouring the country to discover the UK’s most talented crews, troupes and solo dancers of all styles and ages.

Noel has worked at Heathrow, alongside his wife Pat, since 2002, and although he said he enjoys his job, his real passion is dancing.

He said: "I am 20 years old in my brain, but actually am 50. My dance influences are Adam Garcia, Bruce Forsyth. For female I like Kim Wyatt, Madonna and Posh Spice. I like her."

Noel began dancing when he was growing up in the Philippines, but his passion really took off when he moved to the UK in 1990. And when Noel appears on the programme in January, it will not be the first time he has been on television.

After uploading videos of himself dancing to social networking sites, Noel was featured on the talktalk advert during the X-factor series - his biggest achievement to date.

The show, which starts at 6pm on January 1 and continues at the same time on January 2, is hosted by Davina McCall.

She said: "I am literally beside myself with excitement at the return of our third series of Got to Dance.

"Just you wait until you see the auditions – this year the bar has been raised even higher with so many acts worthy of a quarter of a million."
