POLICE are concerned for the welfare and safety of a severely autistic teenager with cerebral palsy who is missing from Fulham.

Paul Whittick, 18, was last seen by his carer at about 6pm on Tuesday July 16 in South Park, Fulham. At about 8.10 that evening he got on a soutbound District Line tube train.

Paul is black and about 4ft 2ins and of slight build. He was wearing a red/orange t-shirt and blue jeans with green and white Converse trainers.

Inspector Jim Cook said: "We are concerned for the safety of Paul and would urge anyone who has seen him to call police immediately. Paul suffers from autism and has cerebral palsy and will become increasingly concerned the longer that he is missing from home. Because he cannot speak, he will not be able to tell anyone that he is missing."

* Anyone who may have seen Paul or has information that may assist police in finding him should call 101 and ask for Hammersmith & Fulham police.
