The Fabric Warehouse began trading in West Drayton 30 years ago, but last year moved into a new shop to offer customers more than just a place to buy textiles.

For the past week during half term, the shop, tucked away in the Tomo Estate in Packetboat Lane, Cowley, has been offering youngsters and crafters the opportunity to try their hand at crochet, dress making, ceramics, bag, apron and collar crafting and making decopatch picture frames.

It even organises children's crafty birthday parties and social group events.

Tomorrow, the shop celebrates a year in its current space and owner Stephanie Sutton invites customers to go along and enjoy the pop-up vintage tea shop.

She said: "We now offer such a range of classes on crafting and dress making which has really become more popular with tv shows like the Great British Sewing Bee.

"We wanted to give our customers more of an experience when they shop."

Company Tea by Two will provide the homemade cakes and tea, and The Fabric Warehouse will provide shoppers with a chance to take part in some crafting on the day.

The vintage tea birthday event runs from 10am to 5pm on Saturday, May 31.
