Extradition order for suspected arms dealer from Pinner approved

Guy Savage, 42, of Daymer Gardens, was arrested in February last year on suspicion of breaching licence restrictions placed upon the export of equipment including M16 assault rifles and gun paraphernalia.

The Home Secretary Theresa May has signed an order approving the extradition of an alleged arms dealer from Pinner to the USA.

Guy Savage, 42, of Daymer Gardens, was arrested in February last year on suspicion of breaching licence restrictions placed upon the export of equipment including M16 assault rifles and gun paraphernalia. The businessman denies he was involved in illegal smuggling.

Theresa May signed the order on January 27 after a magistrate ruled there was no legal bar to extradition.

Mr Savage, 42, has until Monday, February 13, to appeal to the High Court and if he does not he will be extradited to Tennessee to stand trial.
