MUSICIANS are invited to a fun repertoire day with Hillingdon Philharmonic Orchestra when they can experience the magic of playing with a full orchestra without the pressure of a performance.

Players of all instruments who have achieved grade seven or above are welcome to join in and strings, French horn, trumpet and percussion players will be particularly welcome as the group has vacancies in these areas

The orchestra will play through a selection of classical favourites including Mendelssohn’s Symphony No.4, Haydn’s Toy Symphony, the Prelude to Verdi’s La Traviata, Tchaikovsky’s Fantasy Overture Romeo & Juliet and many more.

The orchestra is now in its 28th season and has more than 60 members and has performed at many prestigious venues including the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southwark Cathedral and Cadogan Hall in London.

The day runs from 10am-4pm at the 1st Ickenham Scout Hut in Community Close and the cost is £12.

There is the option of a Chinese buffet lunch which is £9.
