IT WAS interesting to read your article regarding obesity in Hillingdon (Fat chance of being thin here, Uxbridge and West Drayton Gazette, April 7).

Double standards, I feel, for Hillingdon Council, stopping ice-cream vans outside schools when their own café, The Oasis, has a credit crunch menu (meant for people who cannot afford to pay for the full price menu) that includes things such as fishcake and chips and pizza and chips. Not exactly the healthy choice either, is it? Also proving your point that, if you do not have the money, all you can expect to eat is cheap rubbish!
