YOUNGSTERS helped clean up an estate in Heston before watching Brentford FC wipe the floor with Leyton Orient.
Children picked up litter on the Brabazon Road estate last Saturday (March 19), as part of a clean-up organised by the local residents association.
The 15 youngsters then enjoyed a trip to Griffin Park to watch the Bees beat Leyton Orient 2-1.
The event was funded by Hounslow Council and supported by Brentford FC Community Sports Trust (BFCCST), which organises sport sessions for young people on the estate.
Sandra Middleton, chairman of the Brabazon Road Estate Residents Association, said: "It was a very successful day. During the morning we managed to collect nine bags of rubbish and were also able to speak to local residents about ways to improve the estate. We signed up another two young people onto the sports activities and I know the youngsters enjoyed their trip to Brentford in the afternoon."
Parents, residents, councillors and staff from Hounslow Homes also took part in the clean-up.
