Elvis Presley and Mickey Mouse are the unlikely bedmates teaming up to fight cancer in Hounslow at events this weekend and next.

Mickey and fellow Disney favourites Minnie and princess Sofia the First will be at the Treaty Centre, in Hounslow High Street, this Saturday (October 11).

They will be joined by classical crossover singer Jaden Cornelious, of Britain's Got Talent fame, and street dance group Alliance Dance Unit outside Ernest Jones from 11am-3pm.

The following Saturday (October 18) a top Elvis impersonator will channel the King of Rock 'n' Roll as he takes requests at the Cancer Research UK shop, at 125 High Street, Hounslow.

Paul Richie, who has appeared on BBC's The One Show and even sang at the wedding of Gary Barlow's brother-in-law, will be belting out hits and posing for photos at the store from midday to 2pm.

Visitors will also be able to buy unique and rare Elvis memorabilia, records and books recently donated to the store by a generous supporter.

The events are both part of Stand Up To Cancer, a national fundraising campaign for which Cancer Research UK has teamed up with Channel 4.

As well as activities across the country raising money for research into the disease, there will be a live TV fundraiser on Channel 4 next Friday from 7.30pm, hosted by Davina McCall, Alan Carr and Dr Christian Jessen.
