Constituency history

Brentford & Isleworth is a marginal seat held by Conservative Mary Macleod, who ousted Labour's Ann Keen in 2010 with a majority of 1,958.

The seat had been held for 13 years by Mrs Keen, who bought to an end 23 years of Tory control in 1997.

A poll published by the Conservative peer Lord Ashcroft, in January, forecast an 8% swing from Conservative to Labour in the constituency, which would give Labour a 13 percentage point lead.
