PEOPLE across the borough will pay tribute to those who have fallen in battle during Remembrance Sunday this weekend.

Ealing Council and The Royal British Legion have planned a host of activities to commemorate the deaths of men and women killed during battle over the decades.

Mayor of Ealing Barbara Yerolemou will be attending a service at 11am on Sunday at the Memorial Gates in Ealing Green.

The service will include a two-minute silence and a march past with music by the Balmoral Highlanders and the Capital Concert Brass.

The Greenford Remembrance parade starts at 10am outside the Royal British Legion building in Oldfield Lane South.

The service will be the largest event in the borough.

There will also be a service outside the Manor House in The Green, Southall. The open air service will be conducted by Reverend Mark Poulson from St John's Church.

It is customary for the past mayor of Ealing to attend. This year Councillor Ian Green will be in attendance at 11am, followed by a procession from the memorial to St John's Church in Church Road.
