A SERVING police officer in Ealing is being investigated in relation to allegations of rape and assault.
Hertfordshire Police are currently investigating the allegations of the offences which are believed to have taken place prior to and in 2007.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) received a referral from the Metropolitan Police Service last month to carry out the investigation and a spokeswoman said: "The officer has not been arrested but has been interviewed under caution in relation to the allegations."
