The Mayor of Ealing cooked up a storm when he visited a homeless charity.

More than 30 young people who live in the West London YMCA were served a three-course meal by the Mayor, Councillor Ian Green on Boxing Day.

Jan Lewis, Corporate Communications Manager said it brought some festive cheer to those who had nowhere else to go over the festive season.

Mrs Lewis said: "The young people had a lovely afternoon and it's not everyday you get served by the Mayor.

"The Mayor helped serve home-made carrot soup, a selection of main course and a fruit crumble for dessert.

"It made the young people feel important for the day and for the Christmas period and we were pleased to see the Mayor's continued support for the YMCA."
