THE campaign group Ealing Against HS2 needs volunteers - or it could have to fold.

Albertina McNeill, of Bennetts Avenue, Greenford, formed the group and set up a website in April amid fears over the effect of the High Speed Two rail line planned to run next to her home.

She has worked with campaigners in Perivale, Northolt and Acton who could be affected by the 225mph trains running from Euston to Birmingham, but is struggling because of work constraints.

She said: "I am grateful to those who collected signatures on the petition and delivered leaflets for the meeting but what we actually need is a committee. It is a legal requirement because money has been donated."

The group needs a chairman and secretary to manage the group's finances and lead the campaign.

If no one steps forward by the end of the month, Miss McNeill will be forced to close the group.
