The event - which takes place this year on Sunday September 29 - has quickly established itself as a much loved and well organised race within the London community and beyond, with nearly half of the available 6,000 places snapped up by runners.

The Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre has been announced as a supporter whilst the Ealing Gazette is the official media partner for the Ealing Half Marathon. Sponsors confirmed so far include Clif Bar, Up & Running, TIMEX, Xempo, Mercedes Benz Brentford, Smart Brentford, Move Clinics, Bodyline Fitness, The New Inn, Ealing Eagles and Ealing Council.

Race director Kelvin Walker commented: "We are pleased to unveil the sponsors and supporters for this year’s race, with a few more due to be announced shortly. It’s great to see so much support from a range of brands and businesses who actively got involved to show their commitment to the race, wanting to contribute to the growth and development of the Ealing Half Marathon. I would like to express a big thank you to all our sponsors and supporters, without who the race wouldn’t be happening."

Event Co-Ordinator Sandra Courtney added: “The Ealing Half Marathon is going strong and places are selling fast, anyone wanting to be on the start line this September should register as soon as possible.”

The Ealing Half Marathon starts and finishes in Lammas Park with the race, retail and charity village at its heart. The 13.1 mile single lap course is expected to take in parts of Central Ealing, Montpelier, Pitshanger, West Ealing, Hanwell and St Stephens before returning to Lammas Park. Runners are guaranteed to get the ‘Ealing feeling’ with the local communities reflecting Ealing’s great spirit and showing strong support for the race, which was introduced in the Olympic year in order to bring a fantastic mass participation sporting event to the Borough that would be a legacy to the Games.

Registration for the Ealing Half Marathon 2013 is open with entry fees of £32 for affiliated runners and £34 for unaffiliated runners, including a medal.
