Four fire engines and 21 firefighters are battling a fire at a shop in Ealing which has flats above it.

A spokesperson from the police has urged members of the public to avoid the area during the "police incident".

They said: "Police Incident - Please avoid the area near Leeland Road/Leeland Terrace W13 to let emergency services manage the incident".

That’s the end of our live updates on the fire in the Ealing bakery on Monday morning (September 4).

For those who missed it, 21 firefighters and four fire engines were at the scene of a fire in London Sangaki bakery on Leeland Road.

London Fire Brigade was called at around 11.26am and the fire was put out by 1.06am.

Three left from the flats above before the firefighters arrived, there are no reported injuries.

Statement from London Fire Brigade

Four fire engines and 21 firefighters were called to a fire at a bakery with flats above in Leeland Road, Ealing.

There was a small blaze in a ceiling cavity between the ground and first floors of the building and half of the ducting was damaged.

Three people left the building before the arrival of the Brigade.

The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.

We were called by the London Fire Brigade at 11.54hrs on Monday, 04 September to reports of a fire at a property in Leeland Road, Ealing.The fire is not being treated as suspicious.Police are not required to attend.

The Brigade was called at 11.26am and fire crews from Ealing, Acton, Southall and Hammersmith fire stations are at the scene.

The cause of the fire is not currently known.
