CYCLISTS are invited to join council leader Julian Bell as part of a ride to City Hall on Wednesday (July 17).

Ealing Council is applying to the Greater London Authority for £38.5 million to become a cycling borough with amenities similar to those in Holland, well-known as a bike-friendly country.

Mr Bell said: “The cycle ride is our way to convince Boris that we are serious about cycling in Ealing and keen to become a ‘mini-Holland.’”

The bike convoy will gather in front of the steps of Ealing Town Hall in New Broadway before setting out at 8am.
