AN actress from Ealing is hoping to make a splash on the big screen when she appears in a new horror film.

Ealing girl Sarah Linda, 22, will be playing one of the main characters in the slasher film Sparrow. Filming is due to take place in Hamerla, Poland in June, aiming for a worldwide release by the end of 2010.

The film is based around six teenage friends who set off on a camping trip in the forest which is the site of a presumed historic murder. Their disbelief in the urban legend is soon changed when strange happenings begin to occur to each of them.

She said: "Through casting calls I got auditioned and eventually met up with director and screenwriter. I found out a few weeks later that I got the part. I'm playing the role of Kirsty. The character is high maintenance and enjoys her creature comforts.

"She comes to a bloody end involving a machete. It will be very gory but it sounds pretty exciting. I can’t wait to get over to Poland and start filming."

Sarah already has an impressive CV, with appearances in Holby City and Hollyoaks and she has also worked award-winning directors Noel Clarke and Richard Curtis.
