EALING Conservative group leader David Millican has called on a constituent to congratulate her on reaching the ripe old age of 100.

Phyllis Crowley of Walton House in South Ealing, achieved the milestone on Monday September 15 and was paid a vist by her Northfields ward councillor, Mr Millican, and sheltered home care manager Diana Ohanian.

Cllr Millican said: "It was a great honour to join Mrs Phyllis Crowley for her 100th Birthday celebrations this week (Monday 16 September). Whilst Mrs Crowther does not normally seek a fuss, she is proud to reach such an age.  Mrs Crowther was thrilled to receive the personal card from Her Majesty the Queen and share the celebrations with her friends in Walton House, where she has lived for nearly 20 years."

He described Walton House as a "delightful sheltered housing scheme" of Ealing Council and added that everyone was looking forward to the celebrations of another resident who will turn 100 next February.
