Police have released e-fits of two suspects wanted in connection with a murder of a Greenford man.

The body of Zbigniew Michniewicz, 36, was found in a property in Greenford Road on December 5, and detectives said a grave had been prepared for the victim in the back garden.

A post-mortem examination at Uxbridge Mortuary the following day found that Mr Michniewicz died of a head injury.

The e-fits released are of men with Polish accents believed to have taken part in an attack on Mr Michniewicz three weeks before his body was found.

The first is between 35 and 46, 5ft 6ins to 5ft 9ins, and the second is aged 30 to 35, 6ft 1ins, with broad shoulders and a muscular build.

Detective Chief Inspector Noel McHugh of the Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) said: “The house was being used as a squat, and we believe that Zbigniew Michniewicz was assaulted on the evening of November 13. I am particularly keen to hear from anyone who went into the house from November 10 to December 5, whether to sleep there or as a visitor.

“There has been a positive response to the police investigation from the public and in particular from the Polish community, and we encourage people to continue to have the confidence to come forward and help us identify the two males in the e-fits. These males are believed to have taken part in the attack.”

Three people have been charged in relation to this investigation, aged 20, 45 and 40.

A 20-year-old man and 17-year-old female have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently on bail until a date in February.
