Two men have been charged with attempting to smuggle crystal meth through Heathrow Airport.

It is alleged they had eight kilogrammes of the class A drug methamphetamine, worth around £480,000 on the street, in their suitcases after travelling separately from Burkina Faso in West Africa via Morocco on June 8 and 9.

Darren Cattermole, 40, and Christopher Thrower, 36, both of no fixed address, appeared before Uxbridge magistrates and are remanded in custody until their next hearing at Isleworth Crown Court on Thursday next week.
