The Duck Pond Market began in December 2008 as a one-off Christmas market to provide for Ruislip shoppers looking for a unique, locally made gift.

It was so successful that its founder Caron Pook turned it into a twice-monthly market in Ruislip - one a farmer's market, the other an artisan food and craft market - branched out into a weekly market in Richmond and earlier this year, began running regularly in Pinner and Black Park in Buckinghamshire, too.

But for the first time this month, the Duck Pond Market is returning to the borough and launching a weekday morning market in Uxbridge town centre.

The market will be bringing its popular mix of locally, ethically and sustainably sourced artisan food and craft products.

Traders can still apply for a stall that fits into the Duck Pond Market philosophy.

The first market kicks off on Thursday, July 17 at the Intu Plaza outside Pizza Express and Zizzi restaurants in Uxbridge High Street.
