Staff at the David Lloyd health centre in Sudbury Hill discovered £160,000 in a men's changing room and alerted police on December 30.
A few days earlier a young man had put it there claiming he had found it in a nearby park while playing football.
It was seized by officers who believed it to be made through drug dealing, with forfeiture finally granted by Ealing Magistrates' Court last Thursday (29).
