A supermarket's blossoming project is due to bring some natural beauty to a charity, which readers are being asked to nominate.
Sainsbury's in Townmead Road, Fulham, is looking for a Hammersmith and Fulham charity to donate its unsold flowers to, as part of their scheme to reduce waste.
Instead of discounting left-over flowers, the shop will be giving away its unwanted bouquets to a charity. Store manager Simon Roberts said:
"This is a great scheme. Not only does it bring some sunshine in to people's lives by providing them with a bright bunch of flowers, but it also reduces waste. I am really glad we are able to support local charities and hope that we can continue to work with them in the future."
