FOOTBALL fans and neighbours will star in a documentary film looking at the history of QPR Football Club.
The Story of QPR, developed by QPR in the Community Trust and the Octavia Foundation, will document the Championship side’s century in Loftus Road, White City.
Serena Williamson, who has previously been editor on Sky Sports' Football First and Goals on Sunday shows, is leading the two-year project.
"Projects like these are key in revealing hidden histories and memorabilia, creating community inclusion and developing opportunities. I hope we can create a film and other resources that will encompass the interesting stories and wealth of heritage of the local community," she said.
Up to 40 young people from disadvantaged backgrounds will be recruited and trained to help make the film as well as an accompanying podcast, soundtrack and website.
Fans and neighbours will also share their memories of the club in the film.
The project has been funded by a grant from the Premier League Charitable Fund and Professional Footballers Association.
