A MOTHER-of-two who has been dieting for 32 years has finally reached her goal.

Christine Clifford, a former size 22, now feels fantastic after shedding six stone at Weight Watchers in Harrow.

The 51-year-old's amazing weight loss came just in time for her 50th birthday last November.

She said: "I lost the first three stone fairly easily, but I have done this a million times before.

"I really wanted to lose another three for my 50th."

It took 18 months using a combination of diet and exercise for her to shed the remaining 42 pounds.

The accountant, who lives in Coombe Drive, Eastcote, added: "Before I used to exercise in my living room. I'd run up and down inside because I was too embarrased to be seen outside."

Now she is a slim size 10 she enjoys regular exercise outdoors.

She said: "I run five kilometres most mornings. It only takes me 25 minutes and that's because the dog is dragging behind."

Christine is now a leader of two diet ing classes in Harrow.

As well as running to maintain her figure, she is cycling too. "I have just brought a new bike. I will probably cycle 25 miles this weekend."

Since losing the pounds she has piled on the confidence. "It's brilliant. It's not a diet, it's a complete way of life. We could all do with something like this."
