PINNER's very own, Kye Sones found himself scraping through to the next round of the popular singing competition, X factor, despite being in the bottom two.

Fighting for survival in last night's results show (Sunday, October 21) on ITV, the 30-year-old sang an emotional rendition of Bonnie Raitt's I Can't Make You Love Me, while duo, MK1 sang The Script's, The Man who can't be Moved.

The sing off came about because the judges took the decision to the public vote. With Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh both choosing to save their own acts, the main decision this week was down to Former Pussycat Doll,  Nicole Scherzinger and N-Dbz singer, Tulisa Contostavlos. With Nicole initially opting to save Kye. She said: "I am such big fans of MK1, I love how fresh and current you are but I have to go off of the save me performance I just saw."

Tulisa, however, opted to save MK1, citing their similarities to N-Dubz, and as a result the vote went to deadlock for the third time since the live shows.

Kye's mentor, Gary said: "Kye that was one of the best sing offs I’ve ever seen on this show. You are the reason I wanted this category, this is why I’m here."
