Death report is very premature

I take exception to the comment made by Councillor Anita MacDonald, in a recent letter,in which she stated that democracy is dead in Hillingdon.

On the contrary,it is very much alive. Hillingdon Council have taken into account the very vocal opposition of the local residents to the proposed opening of a nursery in Rectory Way Ickenham. That is democracy.

If constitutents within Ms MacDonald's ward were as vehemently against some development, would she vote against their wishes?

I think not, unless of course she does not understand that she is their representative and is elected to voice their views.
