A Guardsman reported missing from his barracks near Buckingham Palace and was "believed to have travelled to Guildford " has been found "safe and well".

Scots Guard Dean Rudman, 29, had not been seen since leaving a bar in the Waterloo area of central London on Tuesday night (January 9).

Police in Westminster said: "Help us find Dean Rudman, 29, missing from Westminster since Jan 9. Last seen in Waterloo area, blvd travelled to Guildford."

The Metropolitan Police, however, confirmed during the early hours of Sunday morning (January 14) Mr Rudman had been found "safe and well".

Said the force in a tweet: "Good News: Guardsman, Dean Rudman, 29, who was missing from his central London barracks has been found safe and well.

"Thanks for all your retweets and assistance with this appeal."
