Having attended QPR’s final home game of the season on Sunday as a Stoke City supporter I stayed behind after the game to witness the celebrations of the jubilant home fans. As well as a Stoke City fan I am also a football fan and enjoy to see both sides of the spectrum.

Unfortunately QPR’s stewards wanted me to leave. I explained I wished to applaud the team as they paraded the pitch but he went to the police and six officers came to evict me from the stadium.

After leaving the stadium I stood at the players’ entrance with QPR fans and enjoyed plenty of banter with them as they are all now Stoke City fans for a week at least.

I was able to get some pictures with players as well as Stoke City coach and QPR legend Gerry Francis. For me it seems that the days of mutual respect are now gone and one football fan alone can take up the time of eight stewards and six police officers in order to enjoy his day out at a football game.
