MUMS of pupils at a Hounslow primary school settled down to a well-earned pampering at a fundraiser last Thursday.

The event at Wellington Primary School offered everything from facial makeovers to manicures, pedicures, sari-buying and jewellery.

Organiser Kirsty Timinskas, a parent governor at the school in Renfrew Road, said the evening raised £269.

"We had loads of meetings to see if we could brighten the ways we raise money for the school," she said. "The summer and autumn fairs always go very well, but it seemed a good wheeze to do something new - so we came up with Ladies' Night.

"Of course there was a lot of scurrying around for baby-sitters, mostly dads of course, but it went so well that we'll probably do this all over again."
