CYCLING fanatics can put their two wheels to good use and raise money for a spinal cord injury charity.

Aspire, in Wood Lane,Stanmore, is calling all cyclists to take part in its second annual cycle ride on July 20.

The charity provides support to people with spinal injuries so they can live as independently as possible.

Aspire's Andrew Ogierman, who is co-ordinating the event, said: "Places on the ride are limited and a little practice before the big day advisable, so it is essential that people sign up as soon as possible to avoid disappointment."

The event is open to anyone over 14 years old and bikers can choose from two routes, which include a 30-mile ride around Hertfordshire or a 52-mile journey in St Albans and Harpenden.

Cyclists are encouraged to raise £100 in sponsorship and medals, and goody bags will be handed out to all participants.

Anyone interested in taking part should contact Andrew on 020 8420 8951 or andrew.ogierman@aspire.org.uk
