I AGREE with Graham Preedy that Greenford looks much better after the recent improvements but there is one thing I cannot understand.

Why have they not replaced the pedestrian crossing near Tesco on the Greenford Road which they took away last October?

There used to be an island crossing but that was removed six months ago. It looks as though we may get a crossing with lights as they have put up some poles but that was weeks ago. In the meantime we have to cross that busy road without a crossing.

It is bad enough for most people but if you are elderly, disabled or crossing with a buggy or young children it must be very difficult, not to mention the drivers who have to put up with people popping out all over the place.

I spoke to the man in charge of Good for Greenford and he says it is in the hands of TfL.

I spoke to Councillor Julian Bell and he is making enquiries but so far no joy. I can't understand how this has happened.
